Episode 856 - MARGOT GAMM: GAMLABÚÐ, HÖFN

Today, RÚV English Radio is in Höfn.

Margot Gamm (1931–2007) enriched the cultural life of Hornafjörður with her artistic talent, and her teaching.

The first retrospective exhibition of Margot's works runs at Gamlabúð in Höfn (https://www.ruv.is/english/2026-05-20-ruv-english-radio-gamlabud-hofn-475979) throughout the summer. The art pieces in the exhibition are all owned by her descendants, her children and grandchildren.

Darren met her son Karl Skírnisson, and his wife Rosa, at Gamlabúð.
