Today on RÚV English Radio, the wonderful idea contained in a Christmas letter.
Magni Kristjánsson, a former sea captain, was a childhood friend of artist Tryggvi Ólafsson. In 2000, Magni wrote a lengthy Christmas letter to his friend, suggesting that there ought to be a museum of his work, in his old hometown of Neskaupstaður.
That jól letter led ultimately to the opening of the Tryggvi Ólafsson Art Collection (https://tryggvasafn.is/the-art-collection/) in the town.
Darren viewed the works in Neskaupstaður, in the company of Árni Pétur Árnason.
