Today on RÚV English, the latest in a series looking at things which were illegal or impossible in Iceland, until just a few decades ago.

Until the 1970s, milk could only be purchased in special milk shops - not in supermarkets, or any other kind of store - supposedly for reasons of hygiene.

Darren is again at the National Museum of Iceland to speak to Helga Vollertsen, Curator of Ethnology, to find out more.
