Today on RÚV English Radio, another visit to Skriðuklaustur.
It is a historic site with the ruins of a 16th-century monastery (https://skriduklaustur.is/minjar/en/) which were revealed by an archaeological excavation between 2002 and 2012.
Darren again meets with Skúli Björn Gunnarsson, to view and find out more about the monastery ruins (in the company of some rather noisy geese...)
(On site is also the mansion of the famous Icelandic writer Gunnar Gunnarsson, the subject of a previous show here on RÚV English Radio.)
