Episode 808 - REYKJAVÍK EARLY MUSIC FESTIVAL 2026

Today on RÚV English Radio, new performances of old music, happening in the capital from this weekend.

Reykjavík Early Music Festival (https://reykjavikearly.is/dagskrá-en) is the first international early music festival in Reykjavík, which was launched in March 2024 in Harpa.

It all kicks off on Sunday. Darren met with organiser, and one of the performers, Guðbjörg Hlín Guðmundsdóttir, to hear about the eclectic programme, and early Icelandic music.
