The cinema Bíó Paradís (https://bioparadis.is), in the heart of Reykjavík, has long been a place to celebrate cinema, both Icelandic, and the cinematic offerings of many different cultures and countries.

After picking up spots in the "best of" lists of Variety and Time Out magazines, it has also just won similar plaudits from UK newspaper The Financial Times.

And its new bar has effortlessly become one of the capital's coolest hangouts.

Darren felt it was time for another visit, and spoke to programme director Ása Baldursdóttir, and managing director Hrönn Sveinsdóttir.
