The SÚM group was founded by a group of artists in the 1960s, seeking to bring new ideas and approaches to the art world in Iceland. Sigurður Guðmundsson is one of the founding members of SÚM.
He talks to Darren about his long, creative and international life, plans for ARS LONGA, the visual art that stems from Iceland, and his own works, including the extraordinary Eggin í Gleðivík - 34 replicas of the eggs of nesting birds in Djúpavogur district, which adorn the coast at Gleðivík.
