Today on RÚV English Radio, the next phase of the big collective "sew-in" that's been happening since last September.
Over the past few months, Reykjavik residents have been sewing quilt blocks of their own design at local library workshops across the city. They were made with recycled bed covers.
Now, a 3-day event at Reykjavík Maritime Museum (https://borgarsogusafn.is/en/events/saumum-saman-island-679971) will see the blocks sewn together to create a large quilt-top to be exhibited (https://borgarsogusafn.is/en/events/saumum-saman-island-syning-a-sumardaginn-fyrsta-691340) at the Árbær Open Air Museum First Day of Summer celebration on April 23.
You can be part of this exciting next step!
