J. Pasila is a Canadian visual artist who lives in Siglufjordur for half of each year. Since 2012, she has made prints and short videos from roadside traffic web cameras located around the Icelandic countryside.
These lo-res images are fascinating and beautiful, and sometimes surreal. An exhibition of the work opens in Akureyri this Saturday (https://myndlistarfelagid.is/j-pasila/).
J joined Darren to discuss her work, and her love of and longing for Iceland as seen through webcams.
