Take note! If you have lived in Iceland for more than three years (or zero years if you are from a Nordic country) you can vote in today’s election. Polling stations are open in many areas until 22.00 this evening.
RÚV English has a dedicated local election page, here.
The Multicultural Information Centre also has a dedicated election page, here.
For practical information on the election from the government, click here.
And for a very simple answer to whether you are personally eligible to vote, and if so, where, simply enter your kennitala here.
The only thing you need to do to vote is to go to the designated polling station with a valid photo ID, such as a passport or residence permit.
The latest episode of The Week in Iceland was an election special, and you can listen to it by clicking here.
