As ever, there’s plenty on offer to keep you entertained on RÚV television this Christmas and New Year—even if your Icelandic is still a little rusty. Áramótaskaup will once again be subtitled in English, and there's loads more on offer, too.

Here’s RÚV English’s non-exhaustive guide to what’s on TV. As well as this, you can find more—both foreign productions in English and many other languages, and some Icelandic content subtitled in English, on the RÚV player. Just two examples of great shows in English that are online are Wild Animal Reunions and The Snow Spider. You still have until 10th January to catch up with Gullregn (The Garden) with English subtitles.

You can also search for: Line of Duty, MotherFatherSon, Press, Genius: Picasso, Small Axe, Last Kingdom, Glitch, No Offence, Us, Shakespeare & Hathaway, Barnaby, Vera, Endeavour, Call the Midwife, A monster calls, Anna and the Apocalypse, and more. Here’s what’s on broadcast TV...
