First Lady Eliza Reid today took to social media to criticise Morgunblaðið over its front-page picture and article. Eliza is front and centre in the photograph, welcoming Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik, but is conspicuously not mentioned in the text, unlike the men in the party.

Crown Prince Frederik arrived in Iceland yesterday for a short-but-busy trip centred on green investment and cooperation opportunities. The Prince is in Iceland with foreign minister Jeppe Kofod and a business delegation.

The photograph on the front of Morgunblaðið was taken as the presidential couple welcomed the guests to an official dinner--the first formal sit-down dinner at Bessastaðir for a long time, Eliza notes.

"Summary of this photo caption on the cover of the newspaper today: One man with a name came to dinner at another man with a name's house. With the visitor was a third man with a name [not pictured]. That is all. #dowomenexist," the First Lady wrote online.
