A yellow weather warning is in effect in the East Fjords where heavy rainfall has been observed overnight. The warning will be in effect until the end of the morning, but the precipitation should reduce as the day progresses. Yellow warnings have also been issued for the West Fjords and North West Iceland.

Northeast wind of 5 to 13 m/s and heavy rain are expected in those areas. The wind in North West Iceland can reach 18 m/s. The weather is likely to quiet as the day progresses, but the rain could turn into sleet or snow in the northwest mountains. For this reason, yellow warnings are in effect in the West Fjords and Northwest Iceland late tomorrow.

Tomorrow, the wind will slow down in the west but increase in the east with a strong current in the East Fjords. It will continue to rain in the north, and it can turn into sleet or snow in the mountains.
