The vaccination liaison representative for Iceland, Norway, and Sweden with the European Union, Richard Bergström, says the countries will hopefully be able to finish their initial COVID-19 vaccination programmes by mid-summer. Over a million doses are earmarked for Iceland at this stage, with the country receiving the same number of doses per capita as other EU and EEA members.

Þórólfur Guðnason, chief epidemiologist, welcomed the Swede's optimism but stopped short of agreeing with him outright. He says the schedule for immunisation remains unclear in Iceland, and all other countries, at this time.
