Kveikur

Þáttur 1 af 4

One of the worst traffic accidents in Iceland's history happened at the river Núpsvötn in southern Iceland at the end of December, 2018. This is the story of two survivors: a father and his daughter. Over the last decade, 119 people have died in traffic accidents in Iceland, a country of 376,000 people. A large percentage of those who died were foreign tourists. In this episode, Kveikur raises questions about traffic safety in Iceland, now that tourism has rebounded.
